Text Message (SMS) Program
Northlight Builders LLC ("Northlight Builders," "we," "us") sends project update text messages to customers who have opted in — appointment confirmations, schedule updates, pre-job logistics, and post-job follow-up. Only customers who opt in are messaged.
How you opt in
- Online opt-in form: sign up at northlightbuilder.com/text-updates. You enter your name and mobile number and must check an unchecked consent box agreeing to receive recurring project texts. The full program disclosure — message purpose, frequency, "Message & data rates may apply," "Consent is not a condition of purchase," and STOP/HELP instructions — appears next to the checkbox.
- Text START: you can also opt in by texting START to (651) 386-3501; we reply with one confirmation message. The standalone program terms are published at northlightbuilder.com/sms-terms.
Message frequency, rates, and opting out
- Message frequency varies; customers typically receive 0–5 messages per week while a project is active.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. You will receive one final confirmation message.

No sharing of mobile information
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in / consent data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances. Phone numbers collected for the SMS program are used solely by Northlight Builders to communicate with you about your project or your work with us. Text messaging originator opt-in data will not be shared with any third parties.
Privacy Policy
Information we collect
When you request an estimate, sign a contract, or work with us, we collect the information needed to run your project: name, property address, phone number, email address, and project details (measurements, photos, scope, insurance claim information where applicable).
How we use it
We use this information to prepare estimates, schedule and perform work, communicate about your project, process payments, and meet licensing, permitting, warranty, and insurance requirements. We share information only with parties necessary to deliver the work — for example, material suppliers, your insurance carrier (with your authorization), or the local building department for permits. We never sell your personal information.
Data retention & security
Project records are retained as required for warranty service and Minnesota contractor record-keeping requirements. Access is limited to Northlight Builders personnel who need it to serve your project.
Your choices
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or — where not required for warranty or legal record-keeping — ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below.
